AAVF thermoplastic and thermoset mouldings are to be found in passenger car and heavy truck braking systems, Group 0 safety belt buckle assemblies, anaesthetic systems, and oxygen/air pumps. AAVF also supply millions of pressed composite fibre washers for use in automotive airbag systems worldwide.

AAVF resin bonded fabric tubes are a vital component in airborne chaff dispersion systems in use on fixed and rotary wing defence aircraft to confuse hostile radar tracking.

High performance AAVF composite tubes are used in mortar launched heat and smoke emitting flares as a defence countermeasure against heat-seeking missiles.

Medical Engineering

Lives depend on products manufactured by AAVF.

Many of the materials and manufacturing processes have been specifically developed by AAVF for safety critical applications.

Our precision moulded connectors with integral stainless steel inlets/outlets are key component parts within life-dependent anaesthetic systems, whilst AAVF thermoset moulded stators & rotors are key parts within hospital air pumps and require extreme flatness tolerances measured in light bands.

Electrical Engineering

Krempel, the parent group of AAVF, is renowned worldwide as a major force in the manufacture and supply of electrical and composite materials.

Bringing the Group capability in a wide range of electrical insulation materials together with AAVF’s extensive manufacturing capabilities in round and rectangular tubes, precision machining, pressing, plus slit coil and sheets makes AAVF a strong partner for customers’ globally.

In addition to insulation materials such as presspahn, resin bonded paper and vulcanized fibre many of our customers also use AAVF thermoset and thermoplastic mouldings in electrical insulation applications.

Telecommunications

AAVF is a major supplier of composite antennae shrouds, antennae sleeves and machined support rods for use, worldwide, in telephone base stations and transportable radio transmitters.

Materials include Carbon Fibre, Epoxy Glass and other composites and plastics.

Developed and manufactured to provide optimum performance for transmission signals whilst withstanding extremes of impact, temperature and weather, this is an area of AAVF excellence.

The Transport Industry and AAVF
